CHIP perinatal Overview

When you are pregnant, taking care of yourself and your baby is important. The care you receive when you are pregnant will help your baby come into this world healthy and strong. In order to do this, you need health coverage.

Texas Children’s Health Plan participates in the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), which offers CHIP perinatal services. If you are pregnant and are not able to get Medicaid or do not have any health coverage, you may be able to get CHIP perinatal for your unborn child.
